Please note: You can now record an in-person meeting using the Hey Vinton button in the Salesforce desktop app, or by using the Vinton mobile app. An updated guide is coming soon. 

In order to use Vinton for your in-person meetings there are a couple of essential steps.

Firstly, make sure you’ve set up the Nativevideo mobile app on your phone. There are detailed instructions for doing that in this video explainer or this step-by-step guide.

Secondly, you need to configure the Audio Note object in Salesforce to accept In-Person meetings as a type of Audio Note.

Here are the steps to do that:

Go to Salesforce Setup

  • Go to Salesforce Setup, the Object Manager tab and search for Audio Note.

Find the "Type" field in Fields & Relationships

  • Once in the Audio Note object, click Fields & Relationships and search for "type"

Add a new value to the "Type" field

  • Once viewing the "Type" field, scroll down to Values and click New to add a new value.

  • Add InPerson as the type (ensuring to follow the exact same format) and click Save.

Now your Org will be ready to add In-Person meeting transcripts and summaries to Salesforce.
