Financial Advice

The role of the Financial Advisor is complex. Success hinges on deep client trust, which is built through consistent, relevant communication across multiple channels, from video calls and phone calls to in-person meetings. For financial institutions, this creates dual pressures: maintaining rigorous regulatory compliance through detailed record-keeping, and ensuring management has full visibility into advisor activity and conversation quality for coaching and performance optimisation.

SVN’s Challenges

SVN faced challenges that hampered efficiency and management oversight:

  • Fragmented Client Data: Advisors were communicating with their clients across four or five different channels, including WhatsApp, email, phone, and video. This fragmented approach made it difficult for the company to capture a true 360-degree view of the client relationship and record the “touchpoints” required for compliance and reporting.
  • CRM Friction: The primary administrative burden for advisors was manually filling out fields in their Salesforce CRM. This tedious, time-consuming process was often incomplete, so improvements were required in data capture and quality.
  • Enablement and Coaching: SVN’s enablement team was responsible for reviewing and coaching advisors, a process that required manually listening to or watching recordings which would take hours of time every week. With 95 advisors, this became difficult to scale.
  • Lost Client Context During Handoffs: When an Advisor’s client base becomes too large, some clients must be handed off to a new advisor. It was imperative to SVN that critical, relationship- and rapport-building information would be available to the new advisors.
  • Salesforce Integration: Above all, SVN required that conversation data be captured in Salesforce as a single point of truth for customer records. They had been looking at possible solutions over a year, but none had the deep Salesforce integration they needed.

The Solution

SVN chose Vinton due to its unparalleled flexibility and deep, native integration with Salesforce. Vinton provided a single platform to capture and transcribe interactions across all of SVN’s communication methods – in-person meetings, voice notes, phone calls, and video calls. This comprehensive capture immediately resolved the fragmented data problem.

However, the defining factor was Vinton’s flexibility and administrative control. Unlike other vendors who required complex development work to map conversation data to Salesforce, Vinton’s native-integration meant that Admins could configure templates and fields easily. Vinton empowered SVN’s administrators to quickly and directly configure which templates and fields were updated in Salesforce.

SVN use Vinton events as a trigger to automatically update a ‘last touch point’ field on the account, giving managers a real-time view of advisor activity.

The Results

Improved managerial visibility
Managers gained a quality view of advisor performance, understanding quantitative data (frequency of touchpoints) and qualitative data (what was said inside the meetings).

Scalable enablement
With Vinton’s in-built scoring, the enablement team can focus on improving prompt templates and scoring to map to advisor KPIs, massively increasing enablement team efficiency.

Advisor time savings
Advisors now save time through Vinton’s automatic notetaking. Vinton’s voice note functionality allows for easy hands-free updates after conversations, even when a customer does not want to be recorded.

Improved knowledge sharing
With all conversations captured, SVN ensures client summaries are readily available to pass on to new advisors, enabling a seamless and continuous client service.

“Vinton’s biggest advantage was its Salesforce-native integration and its flexibility. With Vinton, we have control of our prompts, our storage, our choice of GenAI. We can use the data generated by Vinton in Salesforce flows, giving us the agility essential for our business.”
